need help with console table presence

this is the table at the bottom of our stairs going into the daylight basement. how could I make this area more appealing? thank you!

I don't think you need a table there, maybe nice set of shelving on that wall. Table makes that are to congested especially with that door being there.

I would remove the table and chair, hang the art on the wall, and put a plant on the floor in the corner.

Your wall decor proportions should be horizontal, not vertical. A series of framed sea fans, coral, or shells similar to below would go with your nautical/sea turtle theme. Good luck!

Can the piano go somewhere else? I’d move that table and chair to where the piano are and then have some visual breathing room (nothing or just art/plant) to the right of the FP. Too much stuff there especially w the door in mind.
