I have it in a pot. I put it in the gh in the winter. It roots itself in the ground outside the gh but those rootings never make it and do not come back from even mild, winters.

The double Rangoon Creeper on the other hand, comes back reliably from the roots..wherever the pot was in the spring/summer the roots have grown through and I pull up the pot and place in the gh and late spring a new plant will emerge from where the pot was..no protection..Its listed everywhere as a zone 10 plant but I call BS on that lol.

Rangoon creeper is a bit too heavy and aggressive for where I want to put it. I may just root some vines into pots to overwinter, then try to protect the base of the plant to see if I can get it to come back.

Maybe cut the bottom off of a cheap black nursery pot.. and slip it over the vine and mound up soil and dry leaves and keep it dry. That might work. Mine weren't protected so maybe thats why they didnt return.
