Now, my question is where do you start the tile coming from the door to the toilet wall? The way you have it in the bathtub lineup, the entry tile is cut at the design, that I'm going to call the 4 leaf clover. I would try pulling it back to get a full clover in that line up too and see what it looks like. Then you would have full clovers at the tub and at the entry start. Try it and post a picture, please.

I would first attempt full tile off tub and full tile at the doorway. Not concerned with cuts under counter or behind toilet. If I need to gain a bit at toilet wall a marble thresh can be added or subtracted so the tile ends under the door. This will provide approx.. 2" of adjustment. I personally avoid marble thresholds but if it will allow me to get a better overall look then marble it is..

Thank you both for your time and fredback. I redid the layout with quarter inch spacers and can have basically full tiles most everywhere. I like your idea of centering the clover at the entry, and not the secondary pattern as iI have. I will switch the pattern around for the final layout.

And here is the other direction. Yes, floating vanity-two butcher blocks. I still need to install the vessel sinks, etc.

Before i get excited about tiling the important work must be done correctly.., its rare i ever use cement board on a floor as it does nothing for structural concerns. What is your underlayment and how is it installed, and what did your deflection rating read before you decided on ceeement board? Have you read durock install specs and met both the deflection rating first for cement tiles? and then the USG MFG specs yet? How about aqua D and tape joints?

Subfloor is almost 3'' of plywood to compensate for some level differences when we converted this room to a bathroom, and quarter inch cement board with cement board screws. After iI took the photos, I put fiberglass mesh tape on all the joints yesterday. Deflection calculator says natural stone (our joists are 12'' apart, old old house). But these are 12x12 ceramic tile.

I finished tiling today. Looks good so far!

Onto the tub surround tomorrow.
