I wanted to get something more pretty than it, like with glass doors or buffet with wall art above it but worried it won't look matching with the kitchen

What do you store in there now? Where would you put it all if you removed it?

This is the informal kitchen eating area, right? I think of using a buffet and art in a (formal) dining room, where you might only need buffet storage for china.

If you ever put your house on the market, potential buyers won't like the fact there's no pantry and not much storage. I highly recommend keeping it.

Would something like this work? That way you get both the pantry and a ”hutch” section.
