Depending on what type and sizes of spaces you want to create, you might want to reconsider the placement of the pool in the backyard. When I think of a space that can be used as entertaining friends or relaxing after a long day of work, I think: fun fire pit, soft sand, and gently swaying hammocks! We once had 20 tons of sand delivered to a project! Really cool effect! Check out the 3D design pic below! Good luck on your project!

Wise Pool: I love the set up you have here - it's gorgeous. If I had the resources (money) and was able to do this ourselves we would for sure!!!! We have a 13 year old and an 11 year old and I would love to be able to have a place for them to bring their friends too to just chill out as well. Plus, that's an extra way for me to keep an eye on them too - LOL. My husband works soooo hard as do I there's just never enough time or money to get done what you want to get done you know. I think this idea is perfect and it's gorgeous!! Maybe one day in the future. Thanks for commenting - it was MUCH Appreciated :)

Jeannie - I have thought about that just haven't had the chance yet :) Great idea.

Continuing with Jeannie's idea, a Gazebo/pregola/shaded area with some stone flooring might be nice.

Plant some rose bushes, agapanthus, lemon tree, cherry tree, lilac bushes or other flowering or fruit trees/bushes, along your fence line in a meandering border (not straight line) border with some bark and perhaps a bird bath or lawn art of some kind mixed in.
