It was funny......Tuesday night I was at a guild board meeting, seated next to the member that (I think) drew my bag. When she heard me talking to another friend about the challenge, she said to me “I haven’t finished mine yet....” I don’t think she knew that I knew she had my bag. We’ve had since July to make these projects, but I won’t be too upset if she doesn’t get mine finished. I asked for a summer theme door quilt - approx. 15” x 20” in size.

The table runner pattern was somewhat odd in what the designer had you do to make the runner. I’m pleased how it turned out, but I’d probably never buy a pattern from this designer.

You certainly did well with what you were given. Good job. Any time you have to mix projects up with other people, sometimes of questionable skills, you never know. I hope you'll show us what you get back.

It's a pretty fall runner, although I'm not crazy about the white squares. But you did a great job on it. I hope the one you get back is done as well.

So does the woman who hasn’t finished your quilt give you back what’s done and the rest of your fabric so you can finish it yourself?

Does she keep the project indefinitely? That seems rather unfair, because essentially it means you’ve given her a bunch of fabric at your expense.

If she doesn't love it there is something wrong with her.

We’ll see Tuesday night when we exchange at our meeting. I only used the fabrics included in her bag, but, yes, even if the light squares are more of a light cream color and not stark white, I’m not crazy about the pattern or the colors she supplied. These are not my colors, nor is this “happy scrappy” but I think I did the best I could with what I got. That’s what makes it a “challenge,” right?
