Get one of the Maytag or Whirlpool dryers that match their front loaders.

George, because she wants to put a countertop over the dryer and have the controls up front, and she specified a dryer that matches a front load washer, that is why I said a Maytag or WP front load dryer.

She said she wants a dryer with front-mounted controls so it can fit under a countertop in her laundry room. The matching dryer, MGDP575GW, can't do that because it has rear (backsplash) mounted controls. Have a look here.

If the plan is to fit the dryer under a standard counter top (which leaves about 34"-34.5" underneath), she would need to go with a compact size dryer (24" wide). Then the question is whether she'll have a vent available (there are only 3-4 brands that make vented compact dryers), or whether she needs to go with a condensation dryer.

Or....is it a custom countertop that is higher than average, so she can fit a full sized dryer underneath?
