Wouldn't have thought trying to paint marble is a good idea but I think you could really do something with that bathroom.

Yes, the curtains are gone. Removing all the wall paper and painting it beige helped some. However, the pink tiling in the shower and floors and the pink tub and vanities are a daily challenge to live with. The gold fixtures and frame trimming are a flash to the past. As you unravel the pink the cost mount big time to change the tile, tub, shower enclosure, faucets, vanities. Without any labor skills the costs mount fast. I am thinking of pulling the kids from college to get better construction skills, lol.

Ah, I didn't realise the tub was pink, it shows white and greys on my screen but I'm sat in the sunshine so its probably distorting.

Builders in the family are always helpful!!

There are companies that can paint your tile for you. Not sure if the finish would work on the interiour of the tub, but it would most certainly work on the surround, shower & walls.

Heading back to the Biggy DIY store in town and will explore the products you all are recommending.

I was thinking a white area rug over the pink tile to tone it down.

I avoid rugs because I have two large labs that tend to leave hair every where, tile makes my life easier. I will try to upload again the current image.

I would not hesitate to paint any vertical surfaces (no traffic/ wear areas). A current pic will really help. What are the current window treatments?

Introduce brown into this bathroom .You cannot paint the tub the paint will peel off with the hot water.

The curtains need to go, the candelabras and the jars. The lighting fixtures need to be changed as well. The rug obviously also needs to go. As for the tiles, white is very contemporary and possibly paint the cabinets a very dark brown to end up with a dark brown and white kind of color scheme.
