Quilted Snap bags

I can’t remenber when ,but it’s been more than 5 yrs ago at a garden web retreat, when polardreams, aka Sue, made everyone snap bags (So thoughtful :-) I thought they were so clever and still use mine to this day. Well I finally learned how to make them at our guild retreat, and I think they are still clever bags, clever since you use those retractable metal rulers in the construction of the bag. The rulers keep the bags closed, the prairie points are perfect to pull and open the bags, clever.

They are not quilts, but the bags are quilted...guess that counts?? Here are two I made this week for gifts, three more to go....

Valarie, those are so cute! I love making little bags like that. They use up a lot of small pieces of fabric and are something people can really use. I made a bunch of zippered bags for our quilt show boutique one year.

I've never heard of these, but just Googled it. Yours are so pretty. What a great idea.

I still make them and still love them and I am so glad you are making them for gifts! They are pretty simple and everyone seems to like them. Yours are very pretty!

You did a great job on them, Valarie. I'm using the ones I received at retreat, too! I had forgotten who made them but sure do appreciate them. I would really like to learn how to make them....hmmmm, guess I'll go snooping around the Geezerman's shop to see if he has an extra metal tape measure he doesn't want. :-) I love making 'little' gift things.
