You need to have a quilt appraiser look at it. They can tell you the actual age of the quilt based on the fabrics used and what it's worth.

Sorry, I know nothing about valuing quilts. The fabrics appear to be consistent with those available in the 1960s and 1970s, so I would guess it was made shortly before you received it. I would think that if the individual blocks are hand-pieced as well as the quilting being hand-stitched, it would add to its value. But even if its only value lies in the fact that a group of women gathered to make it, I think it’s a treasure. Donna’s suggestion is a good one.
