Is there a reason why you can't paint?

yes, get two smaller sized gray nightstands. you don't have a lot of room, so make sure they aren't too wide.

(put on crystal knobs if you want a little bling)

you could also do white (if you repaint the walls),,,ditto mirrored.

find a taller table lamp than what you currently have.

I just don’t have any idea where to start w painting. I don’t know how ! and Im a single nurse so if I hire people they always rip me off

laura, you can't paint walls? watch a few videos on DIY or HGTV site,,,,be careful w/you tube because any yahoo can post videos.

call some friends over on your day off. order Pizza and wine and have a painting party. Someone you know must know how to paint.

as for the nightstands,,,just google, "gray nightstands". Wayfair, Overstock, Home Goods, Craigslist, ZGallerie, etc,,,,,

you could also do wood (craigslist for mcm nightstands) or west elm, pottery barn, all modern, cb2, etc

I just have a really busy schedule. I’m working on rooms little st a time. I hD my entire living room painted then bought a bunch of random furniture and have no idea how to decorate it ! So I should probably focus on the living room.

the white ones look like they're vintage (60's or so) and have been painted. look on craigslist or Etsy, or Chairish for something like that.

I wouldn't. looks too 'thick'. I'd freshen up that paint! lol. and maybe do a runner and some artwork for the wall. or something to hang coats or whatever.

Painting is easy. Way more easy than being a nurse. You and a girlfriend could knock that room out in a long day with mucho downtime. Time when you can eat pizza while watching paint dry!

The easiest thing is to ask a couple folks at work. "Ever have a painter come in your home?" What is "ripped off" ? If it's a result of hiring the cheapest of any potential trade? Getting ripped off is almost a guarantee! You don't nurse for free, and painting IS a skill unless you'd like to take your own time and energy to learn, to prep, to paint, etc. A decent painter can take those dreary and tomb like walls out of your life in a single day, to a wisp pf gray. Get cracking. Because the room won't feel great until it is done. Paint is first, clutter stowed, bed made, curtains parted to let some light in. Now.......................about those side table and lamps. : ) Paint the one on the left a bright white and corral that visible junk with a basket!!!. Get a pair of lamps.........

You don't. It's a faux look alike on the side table. I realize we are all repeating ourselves. Splurge on a painter the rest will be easy. With the caveat to make certain you love your bedding, and all of this is not simply to go with walls that can be CHANGED

This was the space before 2 people’s
Worth of furniture was here and prior to the house being chaotic. Obviously I don’tt have red walls anymore, nor a tv on the fireplace.

Laural- why don't you wait to deal with the livingroom until your roommate is all moved out and we know what we are actually dealing with. Plus, it would be better if you focused on one area at a time as once you start going room to room and nothing has really been accomplished, it really makes it not worth our time or yours to help you. Should we circle back to the bedroom or the entrance and you give us your thoughts on one of them and what has been suggested.

For a space as narrow as your entry, I prefer the smaller pieces of art. With larger ones, you need room to stand back. That being said, do you LOVE those pieces? Don't make the mistake I and lots of others have.....that is, don't buy stuff to just fill the space. Take your time and find something you love. I do echo what someone else said - it'll be easier for us to help you if you have separate threads for each design dilemma. One for your bedroom, one for entry and one for living room.

It is the EXACT same room. Just a tiny fraction of what was dealt with in an entire home re do and representative of the state of every space within it. It is an ONGOING battle. : )And I will let you guess who got serious. Yours truly, and you can bet there was some major league screaming and shouting along the way. It's a clients MONEY. I am not going to spend it, lie that anyone can take you where you want to go, if "those" shall be your habits. It's my habit to hound you until I leave it the way I would like to find it.
