Where is the front door?

If you're standing in the doorway to take this pic then on the left you could add a console table with art above.

And a small scale simple neutral chair. A tall lamp on console table too.

How far from the doorway is it? You'll still need boots and coats handy nearby? If so, I'd go with a handsome entryway boot rack to keep the space appropriately functional. Maybe add some artwork as needed. Something along these lines: https://www.wayfair.com/keyword.php?keyword=entryway+boot+rack

It's an "entryway" but it's "far from the entrance door". That indicates that it's not an entry, but rather a passage of sorts.

Sigrid asks good questions. Think of what purpose or function the space will serve and then furnish accordingly

Agree about adding something functional, whether it be a place to put your keys, coat rack or what have you. Then add art that is welcoming (assuming the picture shows the view upon entering the front door.

So the area could benefit from a mirror and some type of console below with a narrow buffet lamp. The opposite wall can have some art and nature.

I would put down an Oriental rug and put a bench with arms on the left, with some beautiful and colorful pillows and a very large piece of good art, not just something that is a space filler. You can also add art on the opposite wall and a plant as shown.
