House rebuilt after a fire

My house was rebuilt after a fire. Staying within the budget given by insurance I got everything I wanted- modern hardwood, floating shelves, wood tone island, glass block backsplash, black handles, quartz countertops. To save money I went with melamine millwork. I love MCM style and added elements of that in my design- i don’t care if it’s going back out of style! I also love my glossy white cupboards.

Love everything about your rebuild (and your cat too!). Don't listen to what "they" say is in style or out of style; the only thing that matters is what you like. We also love gloss white cabinets and do not miss the Cherry cabinets with glass doors in the former Craftsman style home.

Love the look, and all your elements really hang together. I love how the space is left open around the range and the while thing is uncluttered. Your tile is gorgeous.

I agree not to worry about the kitchen looking "dated." All kitchens date! Your look works for the space and is consistent. And you like it. So it is perfect.

A prime example of getting the look you want within a budget. And yours doesn't look "budget" by any means! Beautiful, airy kitchen. I hope you and your kitty (who looks like one of mine) enjoy it for a long time.
