so I brought this up before but I think plans have changed. We have an exterior door built into our basement foundation, front of door is flush with interior foundation. I just pried off the trim and found that it appears door is held in place by 3 screws through the hinges. No insulation or shims around door frame. Originally we were going to frame up to the door, but now I think we could move this door. We are doing spray foam insulation and I think we still need to add some studs and jamb extension to the backside of the door if we move it out, correct? There is a small piece if plywood covering what we believe is a stud, however it is set back from the concrete. not sure what to do about that? Has anyone moved their basement exterior door and give me some advice??
