Appealing Entrance for Grey Brick

I moved into my dream home a year ago. The house was built in 1992 and I want to slowly start making cosmetic improvements. I’m starting with the entry way. Can’t decide if I should just stain the door a darker brown or maybe even paint it red? Was thinking of some sort of porcelain tile over the plain concrete but not sure what to will work with all the grey. What about accent pieces? Open to suggestions because I become paralyzed when it comes to these types of decisions because I don’t know what I’m doing.

The door does not need to be darker. If you paint it at all I would choose a grayish off white. It is fine the way it is.

First thing that bothered me was the two square shrubs at the opening. I think they dominate the view. Replacing them with a low growing perennial would be an improvement.

I would not tile. It is slippery and it is nice the way it is.

Well, you have options ..depending on your taste . You can paint the door red ...you can paint the door to match the shutters ...or you can paint it white .....it's up to you and remember , if you don't like it after you live with it for a few months ...you can paint over it again...then ..., you look again and see what else it might need ...flower pots on either side with beautiful small trees or flowers ...BUT definitely no tiles ! Slippery ! Look at HOUZZ and see other peoples front door ...see what might be right for you .....!

The door is very nice and I would not alter it. I would pressure wash all of the concrete drive and entrance. The carpet clashes with the entrance colors and I would choose a solid colored rug if you need one at all. Rather than the small items of decor I would have two matching urns with plants. Best wishes!
