Building a Home Kitchens Remodeling

seeking cabinet brand recommendations.

we are doing a full kitchen remodel, and could use some advice on cabinets. we plan to do white shaker style cabinetry. I'd say we want to go mid-tier in terms of price and quality as we don't have the budget for top of the line. can anyone offer any advice on brand and wood type? trying to better understand how much we need to budget for this. thanks in advance.

I’ve had my Shiloh cabinets now for about 2 1/2 years and am very pleased. They are semi-custom, but one can get a lot of custom sizes as well.

I am also thinking about a kitchen remodel and have been doing cabinet research. I stumbled across this website with grades (including price point and value) for many of the major cabinet brands - of course this is just one designer's opinion, but it could be a good place to start.

We have Wellborn white shaker that I am happy with. Because we ordered painted, I went with MDF, so we wouldn’t have to worry about expansion/contraction. I was very happy with the design process and any issues we had were corrected (some doors were slightly off color) - most people didn’t notice, but we did and they replaced them.
