Ok, so as of today I can get hold of a FRANKE Omni 4-1 tap for half price ie around £545 - in stainless steel or all black finish with a 3yr warranty (it's factory seconds so some slight marks on which I'm not bothered about)

OR

For a similar price I can get an ABODE Pronteau tap which has a smaller tank (only two of us) and comes in different colours as well. 5 yr warranty.

Which would you go for??

If I went for the Franke one, I'm not sure which finish to choose. Black will show the small marks off more if you look closely but it will go better with the industrial theme and dark units....

Bargain, you've done really well. Did you get the black or stainless steel?

Is your hot water (not the boiling water) unvented or from a combi boiler as these are quite a hi pressure tap i believe?

I went with the a/steel - only because marks will show less on it long term and I preferred the shared off shape over the swan neck.

We have a combi boiler which will be a couple of meters away from the tap

It was from eBay but comes with a warranty. It doesn’t mention the brand until you click into it. Was listed yesterday under boiling water taps and description was ‘factory seconds’

let us know how you get on with the tap you chose. I'm planning to get a quooker for our kitchen upgrade but the price is eye watering. I didn't really think of other brands until I saw this thread so it'll be interesting to know how you find it . I'm more concerned about filter changes etc which is what almost put me off getting a boiling tap.

I think the filters are fairly easy to change. Probably less work than having to change the Britta filter! Lol.
