I would cut back the bar stools to three, since with four you are going to impact the traffic path from the entrance. Groups of 3 are more pleasing to the eye. If you have 4 people to seat every morning at the bar, then look for smaller scale stools. If you have more people to seat for meals, I would forget the bar and put a table in the bay window. If you want a sofa on the one uninterrupted wall, then a smaller sofa and fewer stools will allow for more of an entry into the room between the bar and sofa. You don't seem to have a focal point unless there is a fabulous view out some of the windows. Do you plan for TV in this room? I think you could do that on the wall left of the bay window. You haven't told us how many people live here and how you want to use the space. Photos would be more helpful.

-First of all- there are 3 of us, we travel a lot- so we aren’t all here together normally but when we are we like to entertain and use this space to host people for dinner and drinks. We have all been out of town, so please excuse the Christmas tree

- The focal point is one of the problems with this room. We do want a TV in here so trying to decide to put it on the wall adjacent to entrance or on wall next to bay windows. We also want a bar cart, with fig leaf/palm tree wall paper, I’ve attached an example.

- All the furniture is mismatched and just put in here for the time being. May keep the TV table, but that’s really it for the room that we are considering keeping.

- We plan on ceiling to floor curtains, just haven’t finalized a color scheme. Also considering painting room lighter.

Wallpaper with that large a pattern is going to make the space feel smaller. Add that vibe with throw pillows. Window treatments that match the wall color will visually enlarge the space if hung right. I think fabric roman shades might do better, especially in the bay windows. You could match them to drapes on the front windows, but I'd prefer romans all around for the softness of fabric without drapes for which your windows aren't exactly suitable. I would keep the barstool profile low. See how busy the slats on the ones with backs make things feel. Here's a backless one that adds a tropical feeling. You could upholster bar stools with tropical fabric too.
