I think you should do the blue that is by the closet

A neutral headboard with light bedding. A canopy bed will make the room feel small and cramp, especially with that blue on the wall.

Here are some Lighting choices, I dont know your lighting style so I hope this helps. Also so bedding choices for your electic antique style .

I wouldnt paint the door, I mean you can but I would just add some cute hardware.

What type of feeling do you want the room to have? I love the idea of dark blue walls and I picture layers of those tones for a lush cocoon effect. Do you have inspiration pictures? Just Googled Abigail Ahern - new to me. Ok, lots of organic elements, dark backgrounds with layers of textures and botanicals. Have you seen any master bedrooms she's done that you like?

I worry that the F&B Hague Blue will look almost black in the room and I'm not sure if that's as dark as you'd want. I'd be looking at a blue with a bit of green in it. F&B Stiffkey Blue, e.g. I also like their Inchyra Blue and De Nimes. I think they'd make lovely backdrops for your art. In BM colours, there's Azurite that caught my eye. Caveat: looking at these colours on my screen so obviously you'll be the judge of the best colour in your room. :)

But first, there's the whole headboard thing. :) You might not find a canopy bed the right choice for your room but perhaps a four poster would work?

Could we see the antique rug? Perhaps you can take your bedding or curtain colours from that? Though I think your current would probably work.

I'd be wanting to add some burnished gold to all the dark blue - perhaps you could do wall lamps for the bed to free up your night tables? Add some gleam like a capiz shell light fixture maybe? Recover the bench in a faux fur? Layer the bed with linens and velvet. If I were to paint the closet door, it would be gold or the wall colour, not white. No high contrasts.

I don't know what your budget is but my suggestion is to figure out your mood board for the room and plan all the elements according to time, budget and energy. Good luck! Hope you keep us posted with your progress.

We love the color you have painted by the closet door. We would do that for the bedroom. We would also look for a headboard. Here are a few ideas. Note the headboards, lighting, lamps, and bedding.

I like your bedspread! If you are going to do such a dark wall color I would suggest off-setting that with a light colored headboard. Another houzzer mentioned an upholstered style, which would be a good fit.

I would look in antiques shops for a wooden headboard in the same or lighter wood tone of your mirror/dresser. If you want to replace the full bed, look into West Elm modern and midcentury ones. Then, I’d match closet doors tan with this.
Second go for ivory or warm off white curtains and duvet, and perhaps sconces as well. The same for pillows and throw color base, but adding some blue and the other main colors in your wall art. And a tall plant between closet and window
