Very strong tripod made from 2by6

I have some friends who got an old swing set that was being thrown out and used the frame to hang their enormous staghorn.

We have one that has been on the ground for many years. Actually, it is no longer in shade but more or less full sun. It doesn't like the full sun but keeps growing anyway.

How do you intend to shade it with no trees? If you go with the tripod idea, you can put some shade cloth over the top to shade it.

I know this is an issue but I have a shady spot for it, just trying to figure out how to hang it as I dont want it on the ground

Depending on its size a friend has a humongous one mounted on a pallett. Sometimes big box stores will give you one and you can also google companies that sell them.

Depending on how heavy it is, you can get a 4x4" or 6x6" and dig hole, add quikcrete, then add heavy duty hanger. The length of post you buy depends

on how high off the ground you want it.
