I had a similar Waterfall bedroom suite which I decided to have refinished for my current remodel. I kept the dresser and armoire but had the cabinet maker turn my vanity into nightstands since I didn't have use for a vanity in my bedroom anymore.

I really love the way it turned out - mine has "zebra" type of veneer and the refinishing really brought out the beauty of the wood. It wasn't inexpensive to have the pieces redone but I couldn't have gotten anything I liked as much for the price and since I still loved the Art Deco style, it worked out well.

@pennydesign, no the chair did not come with the vanity though one of our favorite things to do is to mix and match vintage pieces to create the perfect pair or set. This little Slipper Chair was a really fun twist on the traditional bench or stool.

My mom used a similar piece when she was in high school. It shocks me how low to the ground they were. That chair looks like someone cut it off at the knees!!
