Does this estimate seem reasonable and does anything seem questionable? It was sticker shock to us. This is for a 6.5’ basement. The slab floor can only go about a foot or so below grade because we have a high water table. The higher the basement, the higher the house. It’s already high.....a 2 story with 9 ft ceilings 1st.flr. and a 9/12 roof. We want to avoid making it look like a tower and avoid too many steps at the entry. We have no plans on finishing the basement. It will only be used for the “mechanicals” ie….water tank, softener, neutralizer, HVAC, etc…..and the litter pans. The house is being built in South Jersey.
