See if you can put better pics as I 'am not sure what asking here. Does the door rail go farther then the door opening?

I agree with Mark. But also your pic is pretty lousy and you do realize that not all barn door is exactly the same, and doesn't mount the same way? Not saying you installation is correct just impossible to see anything concrete thru thru the blurriess. Unless of course you raelly just wanted to put the builder on blast being this is your first post and you offer nothing to back the claim up.

I prefer a barn door to a pocket door. In some situations I think they make a lot of sense. I am going to have a couple in my new house. I would not use them everywhere, but they can provide a great solution in some situations.

Wallpaper belongs in wallpaper stores. Don't go near these.

Barn door take up wall space where art could be displayed, eliminate the possibility of electrical outlet locations, and lack the provision of privacy of sight, sound, and odor. Rarely are they a good solution for separating spaces. My comments may not be fact, but they are professional . . . most of the time.

IMO barn doors are a no-go in homes. They’re loud, bad for privacy, and limit your options for art.

That said, it’s hard to tell from your bad pic, but it looks like this is a simple case of replacing the track hardware.

A better image will help to get comments here, but your best bet may be to contact DIAMANTE CUSTOM HOMES and ask then to have someone install the door properly, someone other than the original installer.

Or, ask them to install a swinging door in place of the barn door and make the necessary repairs.

If you can't get a better picture (or even if you can), how about trying to describe the problem with words?

Is it just that the track is white instead of black?

I too am slightly confused about the issue. The clear picture has 2 doors and a dark track. Your picture is a single door with 2 colors for the hardware - Is that the issue? If you closed the doors in your first picture you would see something similar to your picture...Or is it the trim piece that the track is mounted to???
