Bedding for Master: Please help me select from two choices!

Last night when I went to pick up the bedding I had planned on buying at the Dillard's Cardmember Sale, I wound up finding another that I liked as well and now I'm having a hard time deciding which one to go with. Please help me decide.....

Option A: Paisley bedding and shams with coverlet on white side with blue embroidery. Window treatments will be replaced with the ones in the photo below, which are listed as "navy" but they are more of a textured chambray-blue color. (the stock picture looks purplish for some reason) The curtain hardware will be raised and curtains will be a little higher above the window to give the illusion of higher ceilings. All of the furniture in the room is white with grey tops, just like the night stands.

Option B: Navy Cotton Chenille Comforter & Shams with white & blue coverlet. Curtains would either be the ones in photo above, solid white, or maybe navy? Another thought was to add a grey coverlet instead of white & blue and to keep the grey & white curtains, but I would add an extra panel to each window to make the window treatments look more substantial.

Option C: Quilt/Coverlet flipped to solid blue side with paisley shams & comforter. Curtains would likely be the chambray ones featured above or the light blue ones on the left side.

Ideally, I plan on adding new bedside lamps that are glass with gold trim and white drum shades.

Which bedding option do you think looks best and most luxurious? Our home is a cross between transitional and coastal... Thank you!!!

@karen rose can you please elaborate on the pillows you mean? I have euro shams on the back, standard shams, then regular pillows... was going to get a lumbar pillow in probably navy or cobalt blue with a white block monogram and border to finish off...

Another vote for paisley- I think the white in it helps unify with the white nightstand and the white coral (the sea kind, not the color kind) pillow.

Also, those throw pillows don't have to stay.. I just had them on hand so I gave them a whirl! Haha.

    Upvote the paisley.

I love blue and white! But the grey headboard is throwing it off for me. It looks good with the patterned curtains, but doesn't seem to work with the rest. Maybe having grey in the bedding, sheets or accent pillow would pull it together?

You either need a solid comforter color or solid drapes and the same drapes on both windows. Too much pattern at this point. With both windows having solid drapes, then I would say Option C. If patterned drapes, then Option B.

Paisley for sure. I like the paisley bedding with the solid blue curtains in the last picture you posted.

Definitely the Paisley, option C-but put the messy looking pillows you sleep on at the back where you dont see them and swap out the two small pillows in front to one with a deep gray flannel or tweed to tie in with the headboard and a smaller deep blue velvet accent pillow. Lovely bedding, the chambray curtains work nicely.

@pirateroo- I do like that idea... like a boucle or gray/blue tweed maybe? Now to shop... I do like that idea!! Hmmm let's go look for pillows.

@pinkmountain- for sure, I was planning solid curtains. I have been stuck on what color I was going to do for them, but I'm heavily leaning toward the chambray over white or navy at this point.

Does it look like I need a third euro sham maybe? or is two plenty? hmmmm

Yes, Boucle or tweedy blue/gray- some nice texture. 2 shams is plenty, remember you have to pick them up off the floor in the morning when you make the bed :)

Number one is my favorite bedding and I would choose the solid navy drapes, it would look soooo good.

I found this one on amazon, but it is kinda spendy. as it is just a cover... need to keep looking. was thinking lumbar pillow for the tweed one!

I had a chance to put up the curtains temporarily until I can raise the rods up a bit and I also took your advice @pirateroo and moved the pillows and you are right- a grayish pillow will pull it all together! I also tried out one of my lamps- wondering if I need to go bigger with the lamp shade?
Hoping to stop at HomeGoods today to see if they have an oversized lumbar pillow. I did see this one at Target last night:

I think I would go a bit larger with the lamps. Maybe bring in some metal like brass for the bases, to give some shine.

Wall sconces above the bed might be another fun option- if needing more room on the nightstands. I also like the accent color in the photo below to play up your bedding.

Another idea - a wall of curtains behind your bed. This could help conceal that the bed encroaches into the window space. Kind of integrates the whole wall. Obviously, you would need a longer rod with support brackets and a couple more panels.

Number one but add some different pillows with another color

bumping back up because I am making progress!!

scooped up two of these lumbar pillows last night at TJ Maxx, I'm kinda debating.... it seems like none of the throw pillows I am picking out are working!!! GAH!!!

    close up of pillow pattern.

I had grabbed this light gray herringbone flannel to make a pillow cover myself, but I'm still not sure how I feel about it. Was thinking of making the cover and then doing a large applique monogram in navy on the front to match the blue pillow cording around the edge... Thoughts?

or just go with the blue herringbone pillow? This is a pain in the butt. haha.

The herringbone does not look obvious to me. I think it looks fine.
