From sub-zero to 60! First day the trees have been outside this year!

Wednesday is was -40 degrees with windchill and today it is 60! Took my trees outside to water them and get some sun. I had them out there for 5 minutes and some bees came! looking the door now there’s atleast ten bees flying around my trees. First flowers for them all winter. Also took a minute to refill my bird feeders, they are completely empty.

Amanda, I think the bees usually go back to their hives when the sun starts to go down.

I put my trees outside as well for water and sun. The temps are also in the 60's here in middle GA and are expected to get into the high 70's by Thursday. I am tempted to give some fertilizer to some as they are starting to form blossoms. I am excited because many of them are first timers.

Ok now theres at least 40 bees everywhere and I’m starting to feel nervous . They can’t hurt the trees, right?

No not at all. In fact, they will pollinate them for even more fruit. It must be exciting!! I thik i wilwl do the same come Wednesday. I will spray them all down, and clean up their resting area. Just feels like a fresh start although short lived. Can't believe the temperature swings this time around. It's a good 37 degrees warmer here than it was yesterday at this time. Crazy.

Yeah they have been outside for an hour and the bees are going crazy! I am washing the rug the trees sit on and mopped. It feels amazing outside! I wish it would stay warm haha! the trees need more sun. It’s going to get cold again this week and I will not be happy. I am going to try and get some peat moss around my berry bushes today. Most of them are mature and I’m hoping I will have loads of berries this year!

Denise, the BIG game is there today and I will be watching! I have friends there that said there is showers but so much warmer than here...I almost went but I could not get nayone to cover for me at my claning job. I am so bummed out!

7 bees came in with the trees haha. I rescued 6 of them and let them back outside. The cat got the other one, RIP bee. Haha.
