SW Comfort Gray might work depending on your lighting. Usually against cabinets like yours that have an orange undertone I have found it to go blue and be very nice.

I have that SW Comfort Gray paint in my home. It is so nice, but at first, I wasn't sure if I selected just right -- because it really can look more green in saturated light than blue. Yet I have seen it lean grayish-aqua in low light, such as in my hallway. In the end, I really like Comfort Gray a lot, especially in my kitchen, where a previous owner painted the cabinets deep mahogany. It stands up to that well!

The lighter version is SW's Sea Salt. I have that in our beachfront condo rental, and it seems to be a color everyone loves. I think it is beautiful there, very light in color, but makes an impact when you don't want just white. It does look good with the medium wood kitchen cabinets.

I have photos of both colors in use, if you narrow down away from true blue gray.

I think it would serve you best to wait till your paint is up and countertop installed before getting serious about backsplash selection :)

This looks to busy? I thought it coordinated well because of the marble tile in it??

Way too busy. Schnable’s analogy of plaid blouse and flowered skirt is spot on. In addition, the colors in the counter do not match with the colors on the super busy backsplash. Between the two fighting patterns and the opposing colors, I have a headache just looking at the picture. Either use the same material as the counter for backsplash (if they have enough leftover from your counters and/or access to more material from the same lot) or find a PLAIN tile in a color from the counter. Your counters are the star, don’t put in a backsplash that makes it compete for attention.

You will have a clash of veining and backsplash pattern.
IMNSHO, the backsplash for a patterned or veined counter should be a simple one-color tile which matches exactly one of the colors in the counter.
If you want a multi-color backsplash, the counter should be a solid color which matches exactly one color in the backsplash.

Dolly the back splash you chose isnt overly bad its just that you could do better. In your case subtle will be better. Here is an example of a poorly executed backsplash with oak cabinets.

You have to figure in the heavy grain on your cabinets. See how they used your type of backsplash around the window and how with the counters and the grain it is too busy? But if they had just stuck to the simple tile they used everywhere else this would have been executed better. As in this next picture.

The subtle variation in color on the tiles and larger scale can carry the heavy veining in the counters as well as the heavy grain in the wood of your cabinets.

Here finally are a few perspectives of Comfort Gray in my home. I wanted to show it against my dark cabinets, (which Is really what made me not choose Sea Salt here).

Then here is CG with my lighter wood storage. It might be close to your wood cabinets color?

    A few more, just

showing how CG compares to true blue, and then CG at its most dim or most aqua.
