Thank you for posting this Larri! I‘ve been to Mt. Vernon, but don’t recall anything in the tours about Martha being a quilter. Such an impressive quilt! So nice to hear the history.

I've visited Mt. Vernon, also, and don't remember any quilts. I'd return for a visit if any were on exhibit. Of all the places I toured in the DC area, Mt. Vernon was my favorite stop. Just an incredible preservation of our national history in a well-thought out manner.
