I am sure that is concrete. There is some larger porcelain counter top material that I have seen.

I don't have the name of the tile handy but we installed some 2'x2' porcelain tile in a bathroom and it looked a lot like concrete. Porcelain is water and stain proof and concrete is not. You can seal concrete but the sealer is not permanent.

Not sure about these as the first photo doesn't show the tiles from up close. If you're choosing between porcelain tiles with concrete look and real concrete tiles, I think you should go with porcelain option. You can hardly tell a difference and porcelain tiles are much easier to care for and maintain. Concrete tiles are very porous and will collect tiny dirt and dust particles. It should also be sealed when installed.

I have porcelain floors which look like wood and I have a concrete dining table. Love both, but I have enough trouble with the top of the table (stains, water rings, etc) and I would never want to have to take cake of concrete floors.

I would say the SECOND photo is real concrete. How to tell? All the colour variations from spots and stains and water and oil (skin oil) and toothpaste, etc. You can also see the "wear path" from the sink to the tub. That's a big indicator that you are looking at actual concrete. And I'm going to bet it has been sealed multiple times. Even sealed concrete will stain, pit, acid etch (water is acidic...just so you know), etc. And it will always need to be resealed at regular intervals....there is no way around either event (sealing or staining/patina).

A porcelain tile will look like concrete but act like porcelain = win-win on both accounts. If you LOVE the look of a LIVING finish (ahem...that's the nice way of saying it will stain and etch without your consent as it ages so too will the finish), then go for the real thing. One thing we have learned here on Houzz is very few people LOVE the idea of a finish that will NEVER look look as good or the same as it did on the day it was laid. Ever!
