You need to check if the wall is load bearing. If not,yet, it would look nice if you opened it up.

this is kitchen/dining but I don't use that table. I put it just because my real estate agent said to. for me and my kid i don't need kit hen table. island would be perfect.

Seeing your layout now. I don't think I would remove the wall. Without the wall there would be no place for the sofa and the kitchen isn't configured properly for an island. You could create a pass through in the wall above the sofa to improve the sight line from the kitchen to the tv and get a more open feel. But I don't think you would have room for seating there. Something like these.

I agree with suzyq53 you need the wall, you will not gain anything by doing so, on the contrary, It will create a new set of problems

Hang fuller, ceiling-height drapes on both windows. Lower TV 40 no more than 4” above the cabinet. Put the too-small art in a hall. Even if you just use framed (preferably with matt) posters, put larger art on the wall.exchange your dining table for a storage island with wide overhangs on both long sides (and ends - if there’s space).
