My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

Bathroom tile advice needed....

Very small 3/4 bathroom (shower only, no tub). Full remodel. Plan to use white Onyx shower pan, and tile the shower walls, bathroom floor, and wainscot around the walls. Here's my options as I see them:


1. Use subway tile for shower walls and wainscot, larger tile for floor.

2. Use larger tile for shower walls and floor, subway tile for wainscot.


Is there a design standard for this, or is it just personal preference? I'll try to add a pic. Thanks in advance!!!

    Just my opinion, but I'm not a fan of large-format tiles on the walls. It looks like a cost-cutting reuse of floor tile. (I know, I know, fewer grout lines.) But what does large-format mean to you? My in-laws just redid a bathroom with 4x12 subway tile shower walls and a gray 12x24 floor tile. it looks great.
