I have not had any great success with any of the foot activated sensor faucets.

+1 Tapmaster, we have the lever model.

Thank you Fori for your feedback. May I ask why you chose the Euro lever over the kick plate in your install? We are trying to decide which control design to go with between the two toe kicks.

Michael Menn Ltd, may I ask what problems have you encountered. I have not read any negative reviews of users; and my GC has a plumber who has installed them throughout at the local hospital. Local Ferguson plumbing house says they are available, and installed a few residential. Both indicated it is not a frequent request in our area of seasonal homes.

I'm putting Chicago Faucet foot pedals in. Loved using them in labs.

The touch sensor faucets are awful in my experience--had them at my prior job (several) and none worked reliably.

If CF makes foot pedals, I'd trust them too. They make good stuff. I'm a fan of their faucets (except for those miserable metered ones in public restrooms hehe).

When I was looking for the first kitchen, I don't think anyone else made one easily available for residential use that does what the TM does--the ones I found would only engage hot OR cold instead of whatever the faucet was set at.

I think I like the kickplate better than the lever but they're really close and I have no problem with the lever. You don't really notice them once you get used to them so it's hard to compare. Water just happens. :P

The lever is a bit more elegant if you happen to be on the floor looking at your toe kick. The kick plate is a slightly bigger target for your foot, though.

So, just for fun, I googled gardenweb plus tapmaster because there used to be a lot of discussion about these things.

First thing I found was a discussion by yours truly that explained why I got the Euro lever the second time around:

I installed a Tapmaster in my kitchen remodel a year ago and LOVE it. We have the foot tap control and it works great. No batteries to deal with and works every time.

@mcclenr I am ready to start a kitchen remodel and plan to use a Tapmaster. By "foot tap control" do you mean a floor activator attached to the actual floor or a Euro foot activator?
