Our pantry is currently a reach in closet type, with opening 36” wide, double doors. We are considering single door, but can only do 28" max, because of the door opening into the kitchen entryway. Currently, shelves inside are 49" wide, which is wider than the opening but plenty accessible. So if we go to single door, then I guess we would need to make the shelves wrap around the return area on one side. does that usually work well? I'm having trouble imagining it. I still want to be able to easily access things.
