It is pretty everything is light in room ... furniture, area rug, sofas, wall color and built ins. So work on light fixture.

Ceiling fan lights are not helpful in any room I can think of except to see how to get into the room in the dark. Then turn them off or dim them down and use table, floor and accent lamps to warm and cozy up the space. Try lighting your cabinets, accenting any art, adding a floor lamp.

No paint, it is nice and light.

Paint looks fine. You could add a few pieces of something teal in the shelves.

I think the room is bright and light. It is nicely done. I am not a fan of ceiling fans. We installed them when we built because it was the most economical and a quick decision to make. I have removed all of them. I rarely use an overhead light for a task at hand....Just to enter the room if I need lighting. I think a decorative light would look nice and soften the light in the room. They are my jewelry for the room.

Try adding a floor lamp and a garden stool to the left end of the couch. It will not take up much space and a place for the remote, books, or magazines.
