I need wallpaper suggestions for Powder Bath....help!

We want to change the wall colour of this powder room. It currently has a gold wash paint job that was done in 2009. It is dated and not our style. tryin to work with the granite, vessel sink, towel holder and mirror. Our style is mostly traditional with a small mix of modern. We like stores like arhaus, restoration hardware, potterybarn and magnolia homes to give you an idea of our taste. We like the idea of doing wallpaper but need suggestions. Thanks

Before you throw more money at something?

For the price of three double rolls of a paper, and the labor to hang it well.? You could

a nice little pedestal l sink, or a console a faucet you love, and a new mirror. Paint it in a color you love.....Or paper in something that need not acknowledge a granite you don't love.

Or go to a stone yard, find a remnant , have a new top cut, and under mount a sink and get a faucet

mirror you love. Paint out the vanity

The point here? Don't throw more money at something that isn't you, if you can make it you for nearly the same money.

Get a sink console and free yourself........ a pedestal........? A less crowded look too.

Why don't you first look at wall paper that you like ..do you like to brighten the room up ..? Do you like flower prints ..do you want to go bold ? It's a guest bathroom so...you can have fun ...and still be traditional . I like to see your picks of wallpapers ..and what you like to do and accomplish before I make any suggestions ...have you looked at powder rooms guest bathrooms at HOUZZ ...?????

You can't make a purse out of a saddle. Jan has some wise advice for you. At the least, I recommend:

-remove the 4" backsplash granite

-remove the towel-holder and replace with a disposable napkin holder that sits on the sink

-lose the candle. Not doing anything and taking up valuable space.

-higher soap dispenser and move to candle side

-lose the shelf over the toilet. Replace with artwork or floating shelves.

-replace the mirror with a stunner

-replace the hardware on the vanity

-paint

-can't see the light fixture, but could replace that also. Likely dated.

I like Beverly’s 2’nd Suggestion for wallpaper. Geometric would modernize the room. I think the others are too dark and/or too busy for the small space. Jan has some good ideas too, but what you asked for was wallpaper. I didn’t read anywhere that you didn’t like the sink, granite, etc. our powder room is very much like you’re, and I love it in spite of the tiny size.

Thus...... for the OP. it is to attempt.....to make a happy place from something that doesn't make her happy with elements fairly easily REPLACED. Or wait until you can do it to your tastes. The answer is not to glue stuff to a wall, to go with a granite you DON'T love or anything else you don't love, when at the very least a trip to a stone yard for a remnant to be cut and polished would FREE you.

Not every "budget" re do is worth the so called savings.

The key word was "TRYIN'"
