I didn’t see that anyone had started this yet so figured I would get the ball rolling.

Unnamed Mamm. Any ideas?

Cabo is the perfect desert climate isn't it? Never a 120f day or night of 90f..not Phoenix or Dubai.

Heck winters days in Cabo can be San Diego summer like!

    Stefan..

After your kind ID on the photo of Rebutia I posted earlier, I got greatly interested in them. That plant is starting a second crop of buds, and I just received an order of 3 new Rebutia plants from Planet Desert which I will post photos of if it ever get sunny here again so I can take one without flash. Hope to get more of these.

I've never had a succulent bloom, but I think that all of mine are too small still? almost all of them are in pots around 2" diameter.

my(former, now donated) haworthias were about that size, but most of them bloom. Had an echeveria smaller than that, also bloomed. Had a gymnocalycium, parodia echinopsis smaller than that, made huge flowers compared to their size. Size isnt everything.

For whoever is buying Rebutias, I love R. narvaecensis. Many gorgeous flowers for a long time on a nice, white spined plant. This is in 2017, when I bought it, but it has just started to set buds again. Last picture was yesterday: you can just see a few buds appearing.

I cant stand the Rhombophyllum nelii. looks like a giant dandelion. I hate dandelions. I do like the green plant though, just not the flower

Weather was perfect when we were in Cabo - mid 70s, like it was when we got back to L.A. The water temperature is always fairly cool, and so the summers are mild - generally in the upper 80s to low 90s. You really need a wetsuit to go in the water there, except perhaps in the summer. I got my fee wet, and that was enough. It really wasn't different enough from San Diego to me to make the trip worthwhile.

Here's what I found in my front yard when I got home:

    and in my back yard:
Not feeling well after my trip, and I have a lot of weeding to do, especially removing dandelions from the front yard.

OUCH !!! Eryn... That was a pretty strong negative reaction to a forum member’s plant who was nice enough to take the time to share with us.

A couple of old time sayings come to mind.

    1. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

    2. If you can’t say something nice, don’t say anything at all.

    gdinie..

Probably me talking about the Rebutias. I've looked into that species, but haven't got one yet. Thinking of ordering some seeds of them from Succseed.com and perhaps a few more species R. fusca looks like it would be a really nice one.

Lars.. What sort of Sedum is the second photo? Some kind like rubrotinctum? Not colored up as much as I'd expect in outside sun.

I may be wrong, but these look like flowers to me. Euphorbia tirucalli -

A different flower, or just older?

These are pretty small plants, so I wasn't sure if the cuttings are just branching or if that is, in fact, a flower. I AM sure that I have put too many in this pot. I played the impatient gardener who wants it to look good now! LOL

I love that pot. I grabbed it from the side of the road. Someone had put it out with the trash!

I have a flower on my Aptenia cordifolia variegate. And I haven't even gotten it planted (repotted from the HD container) yet!

My neighbor brought me a bunch of clippings she saved for me from her plants. She's had them in water for me. LOL I didn't tell her not to put them in water. We've had that discussion before. I was happy that she remembered me! I am redoing a couple of built-in planters and I think this will look good trailing over the edge.
