It has been two and half months. Kitchen was gutted down to the studs and wall removed in between kitchen appliances and couch and eating area. We had an excellent kitchen designer and a super duper contractor. We are thrilled with the outcome. Went from warm dark colors to cool tones mixed with some warm woods. We are so very happy. Just waiting for our ovens, scheduled to arrive tomorrow. (Sorry for the pictures out of sequence, I am new at this!) I have spent part of every day for 2 years reading Houzz and looking at Photos. It has been enormously helpful!!!

Wow, it looks AMAZING. Can I ask what your counter material is? It is gorgeous, I'm wondering if I should look for something similar instead of azul aran.

Thank you! It is White Fantasy leathered marble. I tested the heck out of the sample and read extensively about marble before making the decision. In the end, we loved the qualities of marble more than anything we looked at. We love it so much!!! Everyone who comes into our kitchen ends up running their hands over the countertop because of the incredible feel of the veining.

Thanks for posting, the kitchen looks amazing! Are the perimeter cabinets white or off-white?

Thank you! The perimeter cabinets are Benjamin Moore Gray Cloud and the island is Benjamin Moore Sweatshirt Gray.

This is the perfect example of a gray kitchen that will not look dated soon. Yes, it’s gray, but not gray done all over, in a trendy way. This is gorgeous and balanced and inviting. Congratulations!

cabinets: Plain and Fancy, countertops: White Fantasy leathered marble, faucets: Rohl, Island sink: Galley sink, window sink: Kohler Stages, Lighting fixture: Ace Wrought Iron (Handmade by Clayton), refrigerator: 36 inch subzero integrated, subzero freezer drawers in Island, ovens came today!! Miele steam oven and regular oven, Bluestar 48 inch gas range top. We both cook and bake and are seasoned entertainers, so we broke the bank on this kitchen of our dreams. We are really thrilled. Our biggest complications have been appliance installation, which haven't gone smoothly. I have spent year thinking about this and after making all the decisions, I had a number of sleepless nights hoping the colors would work together, hoping the tile was the right tone, hoping the kitchen wouldn't be too cool and not cozy. We will add pictures and warm it up as time goes on - for now we are really really happy!!

I see a very warm poodle (?) in the background. And seriously, the kitchen is warm. You did an amazing job. You will absolutely adore the CSO once it is happily installed.

LOL I spotted the poodle too - love that she/he coordinates with the kitchen! And the backsplash tile pattern mimics the brick in the other room. Lovely!

Haha, our Labradoodle, Kooper and his sister Zoe (German Shorthair) are stuck in the family room because the floor had just had its last coating! They couldn't wait to get their big paws in the new kitchen!!!! I can't wait to get educated on what the steam oven is capable of doing! Unfortunately, the Miele trim kit did not fit well and we have to have Miele come and service the ovens. I think we can still use them, though. We have had lots of fun using the range top!

Hi Virginia! I know this is an old thread, but did you end up using Lt. Seascape Fluid Quemere tiles here? They look beautiful and we're considering using them in a bathroom, only I was assuming they would read blue, whereas they look gray in your kitchen. Don't get me wrong -- your kitchen is divine -- but I'm looking for tiles that are blue rather than gray. Would be grateful for your impression of the tiles in real life. Thanks!
