Flooring Design Dilemma Basements

Tongue and Groove Glue

I'll be installing a floating engineered hardwood soon and was wondering what the best tongue and groove glue would be? Right now I am considering titebond tongue and groove glue. Any other suggestions? Would Lepage wood carpenter glue work, or does it become too hard thus preventing sufficient expansion and contraction?

tdothouse , stick with products intended for their eventual use. Especially for expensive parts of construction!

Does the flooring need to be glued? Is that what the manufacturer recommends? If so, then check the specs that the manufacturer has for recommended products.

We installed floating engineered hardwood, T & G, and didn't glue anything. It taps together and locks - no glue needed. I'd be worried about wood splitting if it were glued but I sure wouldn't glue it together if the manufacturer doesn't recommend it.
