I gave my plant the chop a few months back as it had a kink in it and I moved it and it wasn't growing as fluffy any more. It finally rewarded me with pups! Plus I can now experiment with the rooted piece to see how it goes outdoors over Winter here....

Ignore the hitchhiker. It's a Echinocereus scheeri var. gentryi pup a friend gave me. He said his did really well in the chunky orchid bark based mix his Monkey Tail grows in. My pup hadn't done much in it's cactus mix so I tried it in this pot and it rooted fast!
