how to level a tilted mirror

I'm preparing to refinish this antique vanity. The bottom of the mirror permanently tilts outward. The mirror tilts on two pegs that are smooth between the posts and the mirror, so there's nothing I can tighten. Any tips on how to make it hang straight down? Could I add weights to the back? I'm afraid a mounted bracket would show.
