Hi Everyone,

I am 85% happy with the kitchen with the exception of the corner on the long wall. I don't know what to do with it. I am using Ikea cabinets. The corner base is a Lazy Susan. I don't want to use a blind corner or the angled corner and they don't have an easy access. I wanted to carry the cabinets all the way across the long wall and leave the corner wall free and maybe do some open shelving for interest. I put cabinets there before but it was looking too boxy. The current design leaves over 13 inches open. The Ikea design firm I hired suggested starting the shelves from the corner but I think It looks silly. Can I do something like the picture below? I would be ok with putting some nice glass cabinets there. Anything to give it interest! Also please note the island is not a traditional island is a movable cart. I am just making it with IKEA cabinets. Any help would be appreciated.
