The cabinet setup there is actually kind of weird! But once it's a kitchen it won't look weird.

That's the wrong upper cabinet in the corner. That should be a single door, hinged on the right. As it is, the left door will open in a way that interferes with access to the inside. Bad design.

What is happening on the left side of the kitchen, tile-wise? I would mirror the wall parallel to it. Either way, you can't go too wrong.

What is your backsplash tile? It sounds like you have already selected it... maybe you could do a mock-up of it to see how it will look.

Usually I'm pro-tile-to-the-ceiling, but I would think twice in this case b/c I'm not sure how the tile will interact in the corner since your cabinets don't go to the ceiling (circled below).

- Assuming you keep the tile level with the bottom edge of the cabinets, how will you finish the top edge? Does your tile have a matching bullnose tile or will you use something like a schluter edge
