Leaves look like Schefflera, which is planted all over Hawaii (and the flowers are used for men's leis).

If you are in Honolulu then you can go to the Foster Botanical Garden and see many trees and other plants identified there. Also there are some quite large and impressive examples of planted trees there that have been in place a long time.

There are other labeled botanical collections on Oahu and elsewhere in the Islands as well.

In fact, I think it actually is an Adansonia digitata (Baobab) - as some are even mentioned to be at Ala Moana here...

Yes these have been evident driving by on the arterial for years.

I didn't realize that Adansonia could drive! ;-)
