In the market for a new sound bar system and even though I've looked up this information, I usually find much more helpful and accurate information here.

The various articles I've read, and some help from Best Buy, are confusing at best. We have a new 65" Samsung tv, but our sound stand is/has been having problems. Learned this is common with this brand.

From what I've read, it appears 5 channel is best along with an optical connection. However, in some cases 3 channel and HDMI ARC appear to be better. It all seems to depend on a bunch of factors which I won't go into here. I do know room size is a factor to consider.

So, my question is which is really the best? Or is it six of one half a dozen of another?
