What variety of zucchini did you plant? There are varieties of zukes that are short fat and grey. Guatemalan Blue is a vining variety ( banana type). It also has a long (95-100 day) DTM much later to form fruits than any zucchini.

Thank you. Yeah, I could find pictures of the squash, just not the plants. I believe I planted boring regular black beauty zucchini. I went back through all my seed orders and didn't buy any of the interesting types. Here's one of the squashes I picked a couple days ago.

I love Black Beauty zucchini! Given your list, the squash in the pic has to be the GBlue. Where are you at in your growing season? They're winter squash so you may have picked too early.

Actually I'm in central Florida. We have to get as much grown as possible before it gets too hot and humid and the bugs kill everything! I started my plants in early Jan. I took these pictures on my way out to work this morning. Sorry they're a little dark. The sun wasn't out yet.
