Either leave them alone or replace them. No addition of trim will ever help that. It will only draw attention to it and make it look worse.

I would do what Beverly did, buy new taller doors that hide where the box was added on for height.

A few years ago it seemed a lot of people were adding height to their cabinets by extend the crown molding. I kind of like the look because I dislike that space between cabinets and ceiling.

Take off the current crown first, otherwise you’ll end up with this look

A soffit out of cabinet material is still a soffit. It isn’t “molding”.

I agree with BeverlyFLADeziner and either a matching cabinet could be added to the top of the existing cabinets or switch out to a taller cabinet as illustrated in the photos below. Besides New Construction our firm has a remodeling component as well and 100% of the kitchens that have a soffit within the kitchen request them to be removed.
