Chinese import, with all of the usual suspect import issues.

I have a Zline range, only 30 inches. I love it. Have only had it since December. So far so good.

Thank you GreenDesigns for your comment--I had read your other rather cryptic comment about ZLine on another thread calling it 'junk' (as I recall). I am hoping you will give us a little more detail on why you think Zline ranges are inferior other than that they are made in China (if they are made in China)? From reading various business publications I understand that most appliance companies source their products and parts from a range of countries, so saying it has 'import issues' doesn't tell me how it is differentiated. And also what brands might you recommend for a 48" range? Thank you. J.

IMO a 48” range is overkill in most homes even restaurants don’y jave many of them. I run a catering biz with a 36” 6 burner range . If you are going with this size I would reccommend checking out some more common makers.I would never get appliances all from one maker and IMO Bosch still makes the best DW.

I'm not in the market for a Zline range that large, but am very interested in hearing about Zline range experiences (of any size range). There is not much info, so thanks if you can share!

I am not a cook, at all, and honestly I only wanted the Zline because I like the way it looks. I like that it is on legs. There was very little documentation on how to use it. For the oven, there is a high bake, low bake, convection, etc. Coming from a gas oven that had been broken for years, this all seemed foreign to me. My Zline has gas burners and an electric convection oven. I think the convection can be turned on or off but the fan blows when the oven in on no matter what. That might be the case with all convection ovens, just not something that I am familiar with. The oven also has a pan at the bottom which can be lifted out for cleaning. I like that.

The gas stove portion does not do a really slow simmer. That might be an issue for some people. My only complaint would be there is an area that goes around the entire top edge of the stove that can be seen when the grates are removed. Lots of food debris gets in that area. I use a handheld vac to clean it out.

I could not find very many reviews at all on Zline ranges when I was looking. Like I said, my previous gas oven had been broken for years prior to this purchase so this was a huge step up. My expectations are likely low compared to many people when it comes to ranges but for me it works great and it looks fab. In my house, the Zline works as a huge toaster oven and occassionally to bake a quiche. My dh is a more serious cook and uses it to sear foods that have been prepared with the sous vide. If any cooking more serious then that is need, we order Uber Eats.

Patricia Cowell, Thank you for sharing your thoughts. You made me go back and think about the size of the range and even if I want a big 'show case' type range or just a cook top and some ovens. My kitchen designer drew in a 48 inch range on the plans and I thought it would be a really fun focal point and nice to have the ovens underneath, but the more I read about them (from Consumer Reports, for instance) the more I'm thinking I don't want one. Consumer reports came right out and said if you want to really cook you may be better off with a non-pro range.

I am a stock analyst by trade and I study the Middleby company which is headquartered in Chicago--they bought Viking a few years ago and they are having a heck of a time getting Viking back on track. And of course Viking still gets terrible reviews on Consumer Reports. So I knew to stay away from that (old time) brand. Middleby also owns AGA, La Cornue, Heartland, RedFyre, Mercury, RangeMaster and Uline, among others--- some in Europe and the UK and some here. Some of those brands are doing better than others according to the quarterly conference calls.

For years I've had my heart set on a La Cornue range but even that range doesn't get lots of positive reviews from users.--looks great but cooking on it is so so. We did have an AGA years ago in our London flat and that was OK in the cool damp environment but I can't imagine cooking on one here. Of course they have probably updated the mechanics/electronics since we were there so that it isn't 'on' all the time.

It is just my husband and I these days and we don't cook much anymore so I don't really need anything too grand. In fact, like IlikeFriday, I have been cooking on one burner for years. LOL

The Zline microwave drawer is the same Sharp microwave drawer whose exterior every brand modifies and sells as its own.

Hi J, FYI, I think for most homes a 48" range is overkill, but my kitchen is ridiculously long (abt 21 feet), and the bump behind my range was to make the drywall transition from old construction to new less visible and place water lines for the pot-filler in an interior wall. We had originally planned for a 36" drop-in, with pull outs or small cabs on either side of the bump, but the cabs we originally priced were not available when we got to the install point, and the ones we chose, left an awkward filler space, hence the 48" width. If your space warrants it, go for a large range, but I wouldn't ever think it was needed in a home. Just to clarify my range is an AGA and not a ZLine, (just the hood is ZLine). I think what might be more important is to look at the burner capacity, ect. many pro lines feature "more BTUs" as a selling point, but the average cook doesn't really need that. If you cook with nonstick, you likely won't ever be able to fully use all those BTUs at a high setting without ruining your cookware.

We have the Zline, the top stove is okay, the oven is terrible. Do not buy it, it doesn't function properly.

i have a zline range, a faucet and a hood, nothing but good things to say after 2 years with the range and the hood (faucet is new). This company makes high quality, it looks amazing, all solid stainless steel, way better experience than my old kitchenAid range

I have one of their hoods, and the Zline marketing claims that it is completely silent. I can confirm that! The front part does not scream under full load, and you can move it comfortably.

I've read mixed reviews on Zline but they have worked well in my sister's home so far. She has a 7 burner range.. honestly borderline commercial-looking lol but it works great every time I've visited. I think she has a faucet from them too. What's everyone's experience??? I honestly thought they were great

My wife and I completely remodeled our house last year during the pandemic. Our kitchen was the final piece to the puzzle. We did a ton of research on different appliances and the features offered. We were shocked at how pricey some of the kitchen appliances were so my friend told us to check out zline. Despite some of the mixed reviews we decided to give them a chance and we honestly love our kitchen appliances. Our range hood with Bluetooth speakers is the center piece our kitchen now. Our gas range also works very well. We have had no issues with our appliances and would recommend the company.

We also put in a zline range (48” double oven) and we absolutely love it. Gorgeous, professional, hot! And a third the price of Viking, so it worked with our budget.

I purchased the durasnow appliances for my kitchen about 6 months ago and I love them. They look beautiful and work great. I am professional chef and I put them to work a lot! The 48" range is consistent and powerful. The range hood provides a lot of ventilation and keeps the air clean. I am very satisfied with zline.

I can confirm that Zline is a great brand. What we have at home is the 30-inch kitchen range, but I think there’s not much difference in terms of quality. We also have a Zline dishwasher. Both appliances have been performing well. I don’t think I’ve ever experienced any issues. Well, I’ve only had them for over a year, so I’m not expecting them to start acting up just yet. But that also means I can no longer use the warranty.

I'm looking at a Zline sink too. Anyone have any comments on those?

Wrong item was sent and Zline expects me, a nearly 70 yr old woman, or pay one of my subs, to uninstall it, pack it up to send it back or return it to HD! They would send the correct one if I do this. I said to be reasonable I’d ask the homeowner to make it work out if they’d do a refund. Zline won’t do it. So the client is stuck with something expensive they don’t want and may or may not use. They don’t drink and don’t need a wine fridge - they wanted a beverage fridge. There is a difference in cooling and function.
To top it off, in the same order of 2 items, the crown for the Zline hood was not sent and we had to get that sent and pay our sub to come back and uninstall part of the hood and install the crown. Never again, Zline! You lost our company and our clients!
