For the record, I don’t mind the veins not matching perfectly because I was aware that it’s natural stone and perfect veining isn’t going to happen. What I mind at this point is the giant gray line around entire border of my island.

I'm no pro, but that looks like very poor workmanship to me.

That last photo, wow, a complete hack job. Did this guy just start fabricating stone out of the back of his pick-up truck?

How far in from the edge is that sink? Looks a bit too far back to be user friendly.

Thanks all. I’m so bummed and no I didn’t pay in full but I want my Counters right more than anything. Thanks for pointing out the sink positioning to. I was unsure about that.

Just wanted to say it's a very beautiful stone. It is not done right. Also, the strip in front of the sink should be 4" wide. Any smaller, and risk the integrity of the strip with the weight of the sink with water. Wider though, and it becomes awkward and hard on the back.

I know this was several years ago, but did you ever get the edges fixed? If so, what did they do? I have the same terrible edges on my counter and looking for solutions. People are telling me to withhold payment or completely rip it out. I’m hoping I don’t have to start all over even if they pay me.
