Delta vs hansgrohe shower fixture

I’m building s new house in Iowa and would like to get the same hansgrohe rain dance shower system I had in my home in Chicago. My builder and his plumber told me I should go with a delta (brizio I think) product because the parts are found locally and it is a superior product. Should I be concerned about parts in this amazon world? Is delta actualyricist better? I thought hansgrohe was more of a step up? Would it be worth losing the sleek style of the hansgrohe to go with a chunky delta shower system? Should I be concerned about warranty issues? I feel my builder will be more able to help me if I go with their brand If there are issues.

consult Starcraft Reviews . Iirc Brizio gets great rating. Despite that, like you I wanted my Hansgrohe again and that’s what I did.

I think plumbers have favorite brands and kvetch a bit when you go outside that. It’s reasonable, their reputation is on the line. They want you to have 0 problems. They want the install to be problem free so no one has unexpected labor or time overruns.

Plumbers do tend to like Delta and Moen as they are a known quantity.

Brizo is Delta's upscale line so it has the same reliability as Delta and I think has the same internal type of configuration. Have you checked to see if there are any Brizo fixtures which you like as well as your Hansgrohe.

However, Hansgrohe is certainly a high quality product so in the end you should get what you like because a competent plumber is going to be able to install it and it is not an obscure company so parts would be available - even if the specific part isn't available on one hour notice.

I installed an obscure but well rated company's shower fixtures (Phylrich which is a local SoCal brand) and the plumber had no issues or comments. My choice was driven by aesthetics but neither my GC, designer or I assume the plumber had any quality issues or advised me against it :-).

We installed Delta Trinsic fixtures in our new home and are really pleased with the modern look and the Delta quality. They come in several finishes.

I recently installed the Hansgrohe Croma 220 Showerpipe and so far it has worked well. I think its best attribute is that all the working parts are outside the wall (only the "Basic Set" is inside) so that if there is a problem it can be fixed or replaced without tearing apart the wall.

I had the best shower ever in a CitizenM hotel that had the Hansgrohe Raindance 27112001 installed (it also requires the Basic Set) but my shower base was too narrow. The external valve/shelf is really cool.

I'm sure you know that these showers are not lthe gushers of yesteryear.
