Very nice! What is the space in the island where the stuffed animal was? Is it open or does something else go there?

    Hi shead,

Good eye! It's an open shelf for the pet's water, food and toy. :)

Hi slomano, The countertop is 71”x44”. The actual cabinet is closer to 60”x36”. (There is a 10”-12” overhang on two sides.)

Hi waverly6, Sorry, I don't have the brand of the sink on hand, but it’s a stainless steel, apron-style, undermount sink.

Hi waverly6, the customer just let me know it's a 33" Nantucket stainless steel sink. Hope that helps!

Your kitchen is stunning!! Enjoy it!! Are your countertops engineered quartz or granite?? Love the contrast of the light island countertop and the dark countertop. WOW.

    Hi kculbers,

The term ""Quartz" is sort of a catch-all for an engineer stone product. (Man-made.)

The material on the island is 2cm Dekton Entzo which is made by Cosentino. It's a very durable product similar to Quartz but has much better heat resistance. The darker material on the perimeter of the kitchen is 2cm Silestone Calypso (Essentially Quartz.)

Bottom line: They are both a man-made product.

    Thanks for your kind words,

I love the look and variations of natural stone and haven't seen a quartz product that looks "real". On your recommendation, I took a look at the website for Dekton. From the photos, some of the colors are the most natural looking "quarts" products that I have seen, ( eg Bergen). Hopefully one of the suppliers in the area will have a large countertop sized sample to judge in real life. In your experience have you found it to be natural looking?

I'm always reluctant to give my opinion on questions such as these. Like you, I think Quartz doesn't look quite as real as a natural stone slab. But they have gotten better and the Dekton is one of the more realistic choices. Again, in my humble opinion. :)
