Have you never heard of custom color matching? You don’t match deck colors with custom. You match custom match with custom. Simple.

To answer the OP: matching the color itself isn’t usually a problem, it’s matching the sheen. What is it for?

Just figured i wasn't the first one to get Barker's pure white that they use on their product so the info would be readily available.

I'm thinking about doing my own fillers, toe kicks, etc. instead of buying through barker. This way i can construct all these pieces on the fly as i'm installing the cabinets and not have to order everything ahead and hope that i got everything right.

Have you called Barker and asked them if it is a SW color? SW has a color called Pure White. I have it on my woodwork and kitchen cabinets.

Toe kicks take some of the worst wear in any kitchen.

Barker does not use paint. No professional cabinet finish is paint. Paint will not match a conversion varnish. The chemistry is not the same. Nor will it age the same. If you want things to match, you order it all to match. Or you order it all raw, and finish it with whatever you are comfortable holding up to wear. It won’t be as tough as CV unless you get it sprayed locally with CV. There’s no point in doing a homeowner grade type finish job and doing it over and over. Do it right and do it once.

Consider getting either black or very dark charcoal toe kicks. They make the counters appear to be "floating" which means less "mass", and they hide all the scuffs a toe kick gets.

If you were looking to match it for something like window trim, I think a slight difference wouldn’t matter to almost everyone.

Where it’s right up against the cabinets, though, I would probably order matching ones from Barker. I’m pretty picky about those kind of things, though, and the variation would catch my eye.

The sheen can make all the difference and GD is correct about not being able to match a conversion varnish to a paint color, etc. I did what you are proposing in my last kitchen hoping to save a few hundred bucks but the SW “color matched” paint never looked the same as my cabinets, imo. Most people never noticed but I saw it every day :/
